Do you want to achieve a high quality level of playing proficiency that will allow you to play any lick, riff, song, solo or idea you could wish to, in any style of music?
Here’s the secret:
No more struggling to understand techniques, scales or theory and how to apply them to the fretboard. No more wondering how your favourite players can play so creatively, with complete fretboard freedom and musicality.
Back in 2007, I’d been playing the guitar for about five years. I’d taken lessons with my first teacher and progressed from beginner to intermediate quickly just by learning my favourite songs. My first teacher introduced me to players like Hendrix, Clapton and Gilmour, and I started playing solos, but then I hit a massive wall.
I desperately wanted to sound like my newfound heroes — Yngwie Malmsteen, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai — but I had no idea what they were actually doing. I couldn’t make sense of the fretboard, and every time I tried to solo like them, it felt like guesswork. I was stuck in the same position, playing the same shapes, without really understanding how it all fit together. This lead me to the point of quitting for a whole year, aged 17.
I missed playing so much that I decided to pick it back up again, and that’s when I started taking lessons with my second teacher — and everything changed.
I learned the CAGED system, three-notes-per-string, how to build chords and arpeggios, and the techniques required to actually execute those ideas on the guitar. I started to connect the dots, and eventually earned a place at the Guitar Institute in London, where I immersed myself in scales, arpeggios, triads, theory concepts, and everything I could get my hands on.
But here’s the thing...
After graduating, I realised I was still struggling.
I had all this information… but I was in another serious rut. Sound familiar?
Worse still, I started teaching students in my local area — showing them the same overwhelming pile of scales and techniques I’d learned — and guess what? They weren’t making real progress either.
That’s when I had a huge realisation: information isn’t transformation.
I knew things had to change.
I needed to unpack the scales, get to grips with the theory, and most importantly, apply everything in a way that made real music — not just more practice routines.
So I got seriously organised.
I created the Scale Pyramid Methodology to make sense of the overwhelming scale systems and learned how to actually play through chord changes in a musical way. I built real fretboard fluency, refined my technique, and developed the vocabulary that would eventually define my own style.
As I started seeing results, I began documenting everything — building step-by-step PDFs, Guitar Pro files, and MP3s — so I could pass on these breakthroughs to my students.
And it worked.
They started getting results faster than ever, without the years of trial and error I’d gone through.
What you’ll find inside the Complete Mastery System is everything I wish I’d had during those frustrating years — a clear, structured, and musical approach to building real skill on the guitar.
No fluff. No filler.
Just the tools that actually move the needle in your playing.
Firstly, I devised a complete program for building techniques that meant I could physically play any sounds I was looking for. Most guitar books, magazines, courses, and DVDs I studied from all focused on one area, meaning that the information my students and I were getting wasn't structured and logical. What I wanted was a complete system that had all of the answers, and would take you from the basics, all the way through to a super advanced level for Legato, Alternate Picking, Sweep Picking and Tapping.
I figured that if I could perfect these areas with a super structured course of exercises, licks, and runs I could practice, I would be able to play practically any sounds I would hear. I then turned these examples into lesson packs so i could pass this valuable information on to my students.
Next, I developed a method of breaking down scales that I call the scale pyramid. This method allows you to figure out a seven-note "base" scale for any riff or chord you are playing over, then using a pyramid system being able to extract six-note (hexatonic), five-note (pentatonic), four-note (arpeggio), three-note (triad) and two-note (intervallic) soloing options for any harmony.
Once you are comfortable with all the options available, you then decide which of the four chief technical areas you would like to use to execute your ideas. This means you will have an almost limitless array of legato, picking, sweeping and tapping ideas available to you over any chord, using any scale, in any key, and this works for any genre of music!
By implementing this method, I found it so much easier to play over changes, to play musically over static vamps, and to be able to play tasty blues, melodic rock, jazzy fusion and all-out shred with ease! What's more, I showed this method to my students in a series of programs I called The Cutting Edge Guitar Method, and they went from the problem of not knowing what to play to having so many options that the only problem they had was choosing which of their ideas they should play next!
These methods get actual results, not just for me but for my students. Here's one of my favourite ever quotes about my material:
The only way I can guarantee you will get results from my methods is if you put the work into practising the material. Your playing will improve dramatically if you work through the courses methodically and follow the products structure, but it takes work and dedication. The things is, if you love playing the guitar, practice doesn’t feel like a chore, especially with these methods to point you in the right direction. 1. I built a complete system for mastering guitar technique, learning the fretboard inside out, and being able to play the sounds in your head through musical vocabulary from beginner to advanced level.
2. This system allowed me to play and teach the way I always wanted to. For beginners, I quickly get them playing and understanding real-world music, not just exercises. For intermediate to advanced players, i arm them with knowledge of scales and how to break them down, I teach my students how I quickly figure out any scale that would fit any chord in any key and then be able to break that scale down into arpeggios, triad, intervallic and pentatonic options that they can implement musically with a mix of legato, picking, sweeping and tapping techniques. Effectively, this means you can play over any harmony, learn any solo, and play anything you want.
3. If you get the course bundle today, I’ll throw in a bonus strategy session with me so we can build you a personalised roadmap through the system to get your fastest results.

I've received a ton of questions about Cutting Edge Guitar Programs and want to put together this FAQ to help give you the information you need.
If you want to transform your playing and skyrocket your progress to play the music you've always wanted... then these are the products you need.
Absolutely not! It is never too late to start taking your guitar playing seriously! over the years, I've taken on students of all ages, and the methods in the courses work no matter what age you are, as long as you put the work in.
Yes, there is one reason why you wouldn't see results, and it's quite simply this: If you don't implement the strategies the courses show you and follow the diligent practice methods the courses advise, then you won't see results. If you put in the work, you are guaranteed to see results from these products.
I've designed the individual courses to be manageable and to destroy the three key issues guitar players face, which are:
They don't know their fretboard well enough
They can't technically execute their ideas
They can't musically implement devices such as scales, arpeggios, triads and intervals.
With an online course, you can take things at your own pace and work through them in a time frame that suits you. There's no pressure or hassle with this learning method, and you'll always know what you need to work on by moving through the materials methodically.
Guitar players from any contemporary background can use the concepts outlined. I come from a rock background and have been influenced by blues, jazz and neo-classical. The licks, lines, and runs in my products are, therefore, leaning in a modern rock and fusion direction, but you'll find value here no matter what contemporary background you come from.
Not in the traditional classroom sense (for example, “hear this interval and name it”). Instead, you'll train your ear in a way that directly supports real playing.
Rather than isolating sounds on paper, you’ll learn to hear what you see on the fretboard. As you build deep fretboard fluency, learn scales and intervals in context, play arpeggios over backing tracks, and study licks and lines, your ear naturally becomes sharper and more developed. This is the same practical, musician-first approach that I used, alongside transcribing.
So the short answer is: No, there isn’t a dedicated ear-training module.
The long answer is: Yes, your ear will improve significantly as a natural result of the fretboard knowledge, technique development, and musical vocabulary you’ll be using throughout the program.
This approach trains your ear the way I did it in the real world: Through actually making music.
